Are you a veterinary student passionate about making the profession more inclusive and accessible? A veterinarian who wants to give back to the profession? Or a veterinarian eager to inspire the next generation?
The Vetjoy Career Mentorship programme is designed to provide tailored support to early-career veterinarians by more experienced veterinarians.
Eligibility
The mentors must be veterinarian with at least 3 years of experience in their chosen field. The career mentorship programme is open to any veterinarian regardless of the field that they are working in (official vets, public health, practitioners, research and education, industry).
The mentors must be able to dedicate around 1-2 hours per month for 12 months.

What we offer
In the context of our Career Mentorship programme, we provide a six-months remote coaching programme to our mentors. This programme includes several online modules with video and text contents as well as group sessions with a coach in a regular basis.

To ensure our mentees are effectively supported by skillful mentors, we’re launching dedicated mentor coaching in March 2026 to help mentors grow in their role. It’s currently offered in English, French and German.

Common questions
Mentees and mentors will be matched based on geographical and linguistic indicators. The type of career (practitioner, officer, public health, research, industry or education) can also be considered. Mentees choose from suggestions of the available mentors in the region/language.
The mentoring programme is entirely on a voluntary basis. However, you’ll get a wonderful experience, giving valuable insights into the veterinary profession!
